As an Inside Sales Representative at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will have the opportunity to manage the life science portfolio, including reagents and instruments from leading brands like Invitrogen, Applied Biosystems, Gibco, and Thermo Scientific. Your primary objective will be to initiate and develop relationships with customers, ultimately generating sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers and successfully manage the sales of company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan.
  • Maintain and increase the current customer database through the Company’s customer relationship management software.
  • Manage and close sales leads generated by colleagues in Marketing and Technical Support teams.
  • Consistently communicate through written and verbal means about achievements, setbacks, and effective methods to enhance the team’s overall productivity.
  • Participate in sales, product, and systems training, marketing campaigns, and special projects to develop appropriate selling skills.
  • Coordinate quotations within Company Guidelines by extending competitive pricing to increase revenues.
  • Provide sales forecast for assigned territory to support business understanding.

Requirements:

  • Equivalent experience within Life Sciences required, preferred BSc, Master, or PhD.
  • Driven by sales goals and motivated to achieve them.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and pay attention to details.
  • High degree of flexibility in adapting to a constantly evolving business environment.
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar required.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Ability to function effectively in a high-performance team.
  • Initial business experience in sales or any other customer-facing role in the Life Science industry is an advantage.
