Transport Administrator joining a busy and vibrant transport team – own transport required, 100% office-based

Your new role
This is a new Transport Administrator job supporting a busy and vibrant transport team. Main duties include:

  • Processing paperwork, booking in deliveries and booking on courier orders
  • Speaking to customers and drivers to ensure everything is working in a timely manner.
  • Chasing drivers for ETA’s
  • Liaising with internal and external teams.
  • Escalating any delivery issues.
  • Liaising with the sales teams across multiple depots.
  • Keeping systems updated and ensuring any new address information is updated.
  • Ad hoc administration duties.

What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this job you will require current administration experience, ideally with exposure to working within a transport office/team. You will require a keen eye for detail and the ability to work at pace within a team environment. Communication is key for this role, and you will need to be confident on the phone when speaking to a wide variety of people, from suppliers to drivers. You will require great IT skills and the ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
