Post Doc – Paediatric Development in Biberach, Germany

The Position

For our Drug Product Development Strategies & External Projects team within the department Pharmaceutical Development we are looking for a Post Doc for development of paediatric dosage forms from January 2025 onwards (Biberach, Germany).

In this role, you will play a key role in formulation and process development for paediatric dosage forms of New Chemical Entities (NCEs), working closely with various internal and external development functions. Your work will be instrumental in taking innovative, patient-centred products from early clinical development to international regulatory approval. This Position is limited for 2 years.

Tasks & responsibilities

• In your new role, you will work on state-of-the-art pharmaceutical technologies for paediatric formulations (solid oral dosage forms and liquid formulations) and gain broad insights into the pharmaceutical and analytical aspects of dug product development.

• Furthermore, you will independently plan, execute, and evaluate experiments.

• Additionally, you will perform literature research on emerging formulation concepts, familiarize yourself with the regulatory framework for their development and registration.

• Moreover, you will develop a path forward for their implementation.

• You will work in multidisciplinary teams of scientific specialists from various fields and present your result both internally and externally and will expand your network to include University and other Industry Partners.

Requirements

• Completed master’s degree/diploma with doctorate in pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology or related discipline, ideally with a focus on patient-centric dosage form development

• Profound theoretical and practical knowledge on solid and liquid oral dosage forms and on development and/or manufacturing processes in commercial production environment.

• High problem-solving competence for technical, organizational and strategic challenges, and a scientific mindset

• Excellent organizational and communication skills to interact with a variety of interfaces

• Fluency in written and spoken English and German
