Your opportunity

The IT Service Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring an organisation’s IT services meet the needs and expectations of both the business and its customers. This role involves overseeing the IT service management (ITSM) processes according to established standards, such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), to ensure effective design, delivery, and continual improvement of IT services.

  • Oversee the delivery of IT services to ensure they meet the agreed-upon standards and service levels.

  • Develop and implement policies, processes, and procedures for the effective management of IT services.

  • Participate in IT strategy planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.

  • Identify opportunities for service improvements and lead service improvement programs.

  • Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to design and develop services that meet business needs whilst ensuring new services and changes to existing services are introduced in a controlled and coordinated manner.

  • Monitor service performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and take necessary action to address any issues.

  • Manage the budget for IT services, including forecasting, budgeting, and tracking expenses whilst ensuring cost-efficiency and value for money in the delivery of IT services.

  • Identify, assess, and manage risks to the service delivery whilst ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

  • Manage relationships with business stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

    Must have skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Proven experience in IT service management or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects effectively.

  • Experience in managing budgets and understanding financial principles.

  • Familiarity with the latest technology trends and their application in improving IT services.

    Nice to have skills

  • Process management frameworks such as Lean, Lean Six Sigma

  • Agile operating experience such as SAFe

  • Financial Services experience/knowledge

  • Familiar with Digital Products

  • Understanding of Product Management framework
