Job Description:

The Bid & Proposal Specialist is required to ensure that company and project /program commercial objectives are achieved, in line with expected/budgeted costs and schedule in order to guarantee that contractual commitments towards customers are maintained (internal and external).

Main Responsabilities:

  • Support to Sales, Marketing and Contract management towards new business acquisition, including effective management of quotations required for the bids and proposals process management: Engineering, Finance, Legal, Export control, Project Management;
  • Overall responsibility for delivery of applicable contractual deliverables;
  • Effective management of Offer team, guaranteeing correct flow of communication and tasking to all functions involved in the development and delivery; 
  • Supplier strategy and management together with P&SC associated with the Project/Product/Program;
  • Configuration management, supporting functions in the definition of the technical and production baseline and governing the change management process;
  • Multisite Program integration where applicable;
  • Stakeholder Management & Reporting.

Main Activities:

  • Bid and Tender management – Preparation, management and delivery of offers – Evaluation of the opportunity to prepare the commercial offer (Bid / No Bid);
  • Perform analysis and verification activities to evaluate the opportunity to issue an offer;
  • Verify the opportunity consistency with the strategic objectives;
  • Obtain an assessment of the technical / industrial, economic-financial, legal/administrative feasibility of the risk assessment and of the probability of success;
  • Bid and Tender management – Preparation, management and delivery of offers – Preparation of the commercial Offer;
  • Support to analyse and prepare the documentation related to all aspects of the offer, including project management, technical, manufacturing, finance, planning, contractual, suppliers, offset, and timescales;
  • Plan and make arrangements for the offers to be approved;
  • Endorse and sign the Offer in accordance with the legal authorisations;
  • Deliver the commercial offer to the Customer;
  • Manage any contractual changes;
  • Update the assessments / prepared plans including the updating of the risk analysis;
  • Review the offer conditions;

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in engineering or business discipline
  • Fluent English
  • Good social skills: ability to connect & work with teams across departments and geographies
  • Being autonomous and able to work under tight deadlines
  • Energetic, open-minded and pragmatic individual with drive and ambition
