Be a part of our family!JOB PURPOSE:As the Resource Efficient Operations Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the site complies with the environmental standards in force locally and at Mc Cain. You are the key point of contact for the regulators. You build and deploy the site’s environmental roadmap. You manage plant waste and water treatment.WHERE YOU’LL WORK:France (Harnes)Report to: Plant ManagerManaging people : 2 Direct reportsRESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:Compliance:

  • Ensure that the manufacturing plant complies with all relevant environmental laws, regulations, permits and McCain policies (linked to emissions, waste disposal, and water), working in collaboration with Environment and Energy Management System Coordinator CE:
  • Follow plant environment and energy management systems (e.g., ISO)
  • Establish regulation reports to authorities and ensure compliance with all environment regulations
  • Conduct internal plant audit to ensure compliance with regulation
  • Be the key point of contact with regulators/ government bodies (e.g., ARS in FR)

Sustainability agenda management:

  • Track plant sustainability metrics (e.g., CO2 emissions, water & energy consumption) against plant target
  • Develop and coordinate plant sustainability roadmap to meet plant targets

Best-practice & idea cross-fertilization:

  • Share best practices, develop sustainability capabilities and promote a sustainability culture in the plant to embed this topic in day-to-day operations and contribute to reducing the environmental footprint

Waste operations:

  • Manage plant waste and co-product disposal, ensuring they respect applicable regulation
  • Manage plant wastewater treatment operations and associated team (e.g., one manager per plant) in a cost-effective way while limiting environmental impact

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Engineering background
  • Experience in wastewater treatment plant management and environmental management
  • Project management skills
  • Good communication skills
