To develop and execute on the global Medical Affairs strategy aiming at optimal clinical positioning of Lundbeck products and to support the commercial product strategy.
*Responsibilities
• Act as deputy for the department head in scientific strategic leadership (if the role of Chief Medical Advisor is filled in the department, this person will act as deputy)
• Be the company expert of medical knowledge within the therapeutic area
• Independently, prioritise, initiate and drive key medical affairs projects
• Key Opinion Leader identification, development and relationship management
• Develop and lead phase IIIB/IV – and IIT strategy and plan. Provide medical and strategic input into early phase (phase II-III) clinical programs and regulatory strategies
• Lead cross-functional publication group, publication planning and execution
• Medical Education & Information, incl. accuracy and compliance in relation to disease awareness programs, medical product information and promotional material
• Provide medical and strategic input into cross-functional specific projects
Tasks
General
• Provide strategic scientific and medical input to corporate product strategies
• Keep up-to-date with the scientific and medical development in the field and investigate, assess and provide frameworks for new strategic topics.
• Analyze unmet medical needs
• Ensure high quality medical and scientific content and accuracy in deliverables
• Ensure cross organizational and international coordination and cooperation
• Participate in core development teams, core product teams and cross functional team meetings
• Lead cross-functional specific projects
Key Opinion Leader Development
• Identify, develop and manage KOL’s
• Plan and execute advisory board meetings
Medical Information & Education
• Represent the company through delivery of scientific presentations to national – and international authorities and regulatory bodies
• Represent the company through delivery of scientific presentations to experts and societies
• Handle medical information requests, e.g. through MediQuest
• Review medical content in global projects, presentations, slide sets, product WEB-sites, medical and marketing and market research materials to secure accuracy and compliance to existing regulations
• Develop medical/education materials and other support tools
• Provide internal and external disease- and product-related medical training
• Provide medical information support to affiliates
• Develop programs and satellite symposia for congresses, expert meetings and other medical activities
Publication Planning and Execution
• Lead/participate in cross functional publication team
• Execute publication plan in cooperation with relevant stakeholders
• Review posters and publications
• Provide input into potential new analyses of our product or competitor data
• Drive development of medical communication strategy including congress and publication plan
• Develop presentations/scientific materials for congress activities in cooperation with relevant stakeholders
