Job descriptionEarly Years Teaching Assistant – BournemouthProspero Teaching are working with an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated SEN School based in Bournemouth recruiting an Early Years / KS1 Teaching Assistant.The School are looking for individuals that are supportive, non-judgemental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships.Previous experience of working with young people is desirable. Experience with autistic children would be an advantage. A team player with patience, understanding and a willingness to develop is needed.Working hours are 9.00am – 15.30pmContract Details – Eary Years Teaching Assistant

  • Minimum rate of pay – £12.00 per hour

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
  • Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.
  • Driven to motivate the pupil and increase his participation.
  • The ability to grow individual personal development.
  • Be caring, patient and have good communication skills.
  • Be self-reflective, have a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative.
  • Experience supporting an individual with Autism.
  • Willing to complete Safeguarding online training.
  • Complete a face-to-face over video call

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
