Your new role

As our new Senior Consultant, you will be part of a dynamic and growing team working with EU institutions and stakeholders on topics related to Climate, Energy and Environment policy at EU level. With a strong and growing pipeline of interesting projects, we are aiming to reinforce the team and are recruiting for senior consultants to join us in Brussels and strengthen our capacity in the fields of climate mitigation and energy transition..

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Delivering on projects and consulting assignments for European institutions and bodies on climate and energy policy
  • Planning and executing data collection and evidence gathering activities, qualitative and quantitative analyses, stakeholder consultations, strategy and planning processes
  • Contributing to robust analysis and compelling report writing
  • Designing and implementing stakeholder engagement processes, to inform analyses or facilitate decisions
  • Participating in meetings with clients and partners, to pitch on our methodological choices or present and discuss our study findings
  • Identifying and developing new opportunities, including by coordinating and drafting proposals

Your new team

You will be part of Ramboll Management Consulting Belgium. Our multidisciplinary and multilingual team is based in Brussels and works closely with the EU institutions and bodies to support the green and just transition. We work on projects that combine strategy and policy advice with deep technical expertise. You will work continuously with our colleagues across Ramboll and have access to a global pool of technical expertise in Ramboll Group throughout Europe and worldwide .

About you

Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.

These include:

  • Masters degree in energy & climate policy, economics, environmental sciences, sustainability studies or related discipline
  • Experience (+3 years) in consulting, research, policy work or similar, preferably at EU level or with public clients
  • Experience collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data, and in drafting coherent and compelling analytical texts, with a strong attention to detail
  • A keen interest in working for public sector clients; interest in also collaborating with the industry and business on sustainability topics will be a plus
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral, and ideally fluency in at least one more EU language
  • Specific interest and knowledge of the following topics: energy transition, carbon markets, decarbonisation of the building sector and the industry
