We are inviting passionate and committed individuals to join one of the Trusts in Yorkshire as an agency nurse (RMN/RNLD) to work across acute and specialist inpatient wards within the trust hospitals.

Description:

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disabilities), you will have at least six months of previous experience working in an inpatient mental health setting as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will have experience carrying out a diverse range of duties, including the assessment, formulation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of nursing care that is evidence-based, person-centred, and recovery-focused.

Experience:

* Registered Nurse – Mental Health / Learning Disability
* Completion of Band 5 preceptorship programme (evidence may be required from RNs who have been registered for less than 2 years or with gaps)
* Ongoing registration with the NMC
* Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure
* Experience of assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care needs

Skills:

* Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments, recovery principles, and person-centred care
* Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Care Programme Approach
* Can demonstrate a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that this can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health
