Accommodation Manager

Manna Ash House – London, SE1

£39,336 per annum 

35 hours per week

Temporary position for up to 12 months

We are looking to recruit an Accommodation Manager to join our
friendly
team in
London
, where you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day management of Manna Ash and Don Gratton sites and staff.

The Accommodation Manager will ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered and will assist staff with any escalations that may arise, whilst also maintaining a Health and Safety compliant environment.

These sites make up a large part of the Direct Let portfolio in London and therefore high occupancy is important.

You will work in a challenging, fun and rewarding environment which will offer the opportunity for training and further development.

The role of Accommodation Manager will include:
•    Managing occupancy through working with partners and local educational institutions
•    Preparing and managing local budgets, monitoring accounts and facilitating debt recovery
•    Monitoring contract service performance, taking action to deal with poor performance and promoting best practice
•    Managing the recruitment, performance and development of staff
•    Developing and implementing effective operational plans to ensure that service delivery meets contracted quality standards

Skills and experiences:
•    Proven experience of working in the student accommodation, hotel, hospitality or property sector is essential
•    Proven experience of staff management within a customer facing environment
•    Excellent interpersonal, customer service and negotiation skills
•    Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
•    Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
•    Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
