We are seeking applicants for two postdoctoral positions of 3 years’ duration, to join us at the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO) at Aarhus University.Both positions are from 01st of October 2024 or as soon possible thereafter.Job descriptionYou will be working with enzymatic plastic degradation with a view to understanding the catalytic steps involved and in engineering the enzymes for better performance.
Experimental aspects include protein purification from native sources, expression of recombinant protein and different enzymatic assays to monitor plastic degradation using both soluble and insoluble substrates. In addition, there will be computational and bioinformatic tasks involved in designing improved variants.Your profileApplicants should hold a PhD in experimental protein science, preferably within protein engineering and/or enzymology.
