As the Fixed Income Sustainability Analyst (ESG) you will work across the group to support our ESG build out specifically within the Fixed Income team. Leading from the front you will help in building and managing client portfolios and take part in client meetings, whilst also providing general support and expertise in developing ESG research capabilities for the Fixed Income team working closely with our central ESG team. We are truly an interdisciplinary team, therefore applicants with limited exposure to the financial sector, but with strong sustainability credentials are encouraged to apply.What are the ongoing responsibilities of Fixed Income Sustainability Analyst?

  • Develop and assist ESG integration within the fixed income investment process
  • Conduct screening, quarterly governance and annual compliance of ESG factors in portfolios
  • Conduct ESG fixed income thematic research and generate papers to share across fixed income group
  • Communicate with clients the ESG philosophy of the fixed income team, including supporting engagement and impact reports
  • Facilitate information flow between the ESG Team and other internal and external stakeholders (including but not limited to risk, compliance, marketing)
  • Contribute to a proper documentation of all ESG processes
  • Support development of existing proprietary ESG models and contribute to methodology improvement

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience in ESG investing (sell-side, buy-side, consulting) or in other organizations exposed to sustainability agenda (including but not limited to NGOs, R&D organizations, companies from sectors with a material impact on environment and/or society)
  • Master’s or equivalent in sustainable sustainability related studies (e.g., environmental pillar –biology, biotechnology. geography, engineering etc.; social pillar – cultural anthropology, social sciences, etc.; governance pillar – law, management, political science, etc.; holistically – economics, banking, finance, etc.) and have an interest in sustainable finance and would like to explore a career in this sector
  • A proven track record of conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Intermediate knowledge of Office 365 applications, especially Excel is a must
  • Fluent knowledge of English (spoken and written) is a must
  • Excellent written communication, presentation and influencing skills
  • Basic knowledge of Python/ R language is desired
  • Knowledge of ESG tools and methodologies highly desirable
  • Very good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision
