The position
As our Medical Affairs Director at Novo Nordisk, you will have the opportunity to lead integrated strategic medical and brand planning, and execution of all medical activities and projects. You will also drive medical-to-medical communication on a frequent basis and deliver state-of-the-art medical and clinical development expertise to drive company message delivery to key influencers and stakeholders.

Your key accountabilities will include:Manage a team of medical employees, including Medical Managers, Therapy Leads and Regional medical advisors Manager.

-Establish strong relationships with KOLs in focused therapy areas.
-Collaborate with the commercial team to provide medical input to marketing strategies, including strategies and operating plans.
-Collaborate with the clinical medical managers team on strategy for clinical trials, site selections and trainings for clinical stuff.
-Support market access in creating reimbursement dossiers.
-Collaborate with regional teams in Europe to build medical strategy relevant for the region and country.
-Represent Novo Nordisk in interactions with external bodies, such as Infarma, and build relationships in the medical community.
 

On a personal level you need to have strong independent personality, very good leadership and good collaboration skills to drive people and work cross- functionally. You also need to be problem solver to manage and deal with difficult situations.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

-A medical degree and relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

-At least 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs.

-Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.

-Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

-In-depth knowledge of diabetology/ cardiology/obesity and other related therapeutic areas will be advantage.

-Experience in strategic medical planning and execution of medical plans.

-Ability to provide medical input to marketing strategies and support market access activities.

-Fluent spoken and written English is a must.

-Fluent Polish is an advantage.

About the department
The Medical Affairs department at Novo Nordisk is responsible for establishing and executing the scientific communication strategy and driving related communication plans across clinical trial phases. The team works closely with clinical development, regulatory affairs, and other key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical guidance and education. As a member of the Clinical, Medical, and Regulatory department in Poland, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients.
