Your primary responsibility will be to implement and maintain sourcing strategies in alignment with the goals set by our Category Managers. This position requires you to ensure that our suppliers meet our demand through seamless communication and efficient procurement processes. You will report directly to the Director of Global SourcingMeet your teamFOSS Global Sourcing is an integral part of our Supply Chain division. Our department is dedicated to achieving cost efficiency and implementing LEAN sourcing solutions throughout our inbound supply chain. We support our global production sites located in Hillerød, Denmark, and Suzhou, China. With a team of 15 employees in Hillerød and 7 in Suzhou, we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and performance-focused work environment. Our aim is to support FOSS’s mission of delivering high-quality analytical solutions that enhance food quality worldwide.Daily TasksAs a Tactical Purchaser, your daily tasks will include:

  • Supplier Communication and Negotiation: Engage in direct communication with suppliers to negotiate terms and secure favourable agreements.
  • Frame Order Agreements: Establish and manage long-term agreements with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and cost efficiency.
  • Sourcing Master Data Management: Maintain and update crucial sourcing data in our MRP system (SAP), including unit prices, lead times, and quantities.
  • Supplier Management: Monitor and manage supplier performance concerning quality, delivery, and cost savings. Drive initiatives for supplier development.
  • Collaboration with Category Managers: Work closely with Category Managers to organize and participate in Quarterly Business Review meetings with suppliers.
  • Support for Engineering Changes: Assist in handling Engineering Change Orders from a sourcing perspective to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Benchmarking and Optimization Projects: Conduct benchmarking activities and participate in projects aimed at optimizing the supply chain.
  • Regulatory Compliance Assistance: Support regulatory compliance efforts within the sourcing and procurement functions.
  • Production and Operations Support: Provide support when needed to our operational purchase in production and operations regarding concerns to delivery, quality issues, and invoice/payment concerns with the finance department.

Alternatively, extensive experience in purchasing with a technical background will also be considered.
