From designing personalized learning plans to providing ongoing support and encouragement, you’ll be instrumental in helping our students succeed.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver English lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of our students with SEN, focusing on literacy, communication, and comprehension skills.
• Utilise creative and adaptive teaching methods to ensure all students can access and engage with the English curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
• Work closely with students, parents, and external agencies to ensure that individual learning needs are met.
• Monitor student progress in English, providing feedback and tailored support to foster their development.
• Stay up-to-date on best practices in SEN education and English teaching, participating in professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent FE certification in English, Education and/or Special Education.
• Experience working with young adults with SEN, preferably in a college or post-secondary setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs in English.
