Responsibilities

• Responsible for the direct supervision and management of daily activities in the assigned value stream

• Assume responsibility for leading and coaching the value stream leadership team to achieve Key Performance Indicators utilizing TEOA/LEAN tools.

• Responsible for the implementation, coordination and evaluation of TEOA tools to minimize waste and increase HC Efficiency.

• Integration of previously unconnected processes (departments) into a cohesive value stream from the customer’s perspective.

• Create and update value stream maps for current and future state to identify strategic projects and develop corresponding 6-month rolling implementation plans aligned with the organization’s strategic direction.

• Promote the introduction of continuous improvement;

• Continue the initiated change management process (change process)

• Work with internal/external suppliers and customers to improve the entire organization (extended VSM) using the TEOA management system.

• Ensure the required level of knowledge of production employees through continuous training and ensuring effective knowledge transfer from experienced employees

• Supporting the development of best practices and their implementation

• Build and foster cross-functional working relationships with all functional areas in the plant to achieve company goals

• Coordinate production requirements within the value stream and aligns with process departments on required capacity and priorities to achieve value stream objectives.

• The Value Stream Manager is responsible for leading the daily Lean Management GO meeting and applies problem solving methods to identify root causes and develop countermeasures for missing daily targets

• The Value Stream Manager is responsible for maintaining the required staffing levels

Profile

• Completed engineering degree with specialization in production technology required

• Several years of experience in LEAN tools and store floor management required

• Training in Six Sigma, VDA or comparable

• At least 5+ years of leadership experience in a production environment as Value Stream Manager, Head of Department strongly required

• Very good communication skills at all levels in the company

• Strong planning/organization and time management skills

• Proven success in project management required (international experience an advantage)

• Problem solving skills within and outside the value stream boundaries

• Strong analytical working style required

• Fluency in written and spoken English and German is essential
