You will join the National Technology Office team lead by the Chief Technology and Cybersecurity Officer, member of the France Leadership Team.

 

You will work on emerging and avanced technologies to identify use case opportunities, drive assessments, analyse risks and impacts, develop and execute internal and customers presentations to build Trust and showcase innovative approaches.

 

  • Technical Intensity: Engaging with internal engineering teams, customers or partners as a technical thought leader, advising on industry and technology trends.

 

  • Building Trust in Technology: As a trusted advisor, you should have a deep understanding of regulatory matters related to cloud & AI technologies, including privacy, security, compliance, and sovereignty.

 

  • Strategic and Business Influencer: The ability to think and execute strategically, supporting leadership in growing the business, and creating a positive environment, identifying opportunites and assessing risks.

 

Responsibilities

Building trust in Technology

  • As trusted advisor on how customers and partners experience regulatory matters on leading edge cloud & AI technologies, like privacy, security, compliance, sovereignty and how to execute these risk management processes.
  • Partners with the Microsoft Corporate External and Legal Affairs team to contribute to the evolution of the unprecedented wave of digital regulations currently under development in your country.
  • A deep and visionary understanding of how technology can be used responsibly in organizations and the nation, including the ability to communicate effectively complex compliancy concepts.
  • Identifies and collaborates with key external stakeholders to increase strategic cybersecurity/privacy resiliency for the country and key industry sectors.
  • To build trust and thought leadership, takes an agnostic perspective for both the industry and Microsoft. Provides a broad point of view across platforms as a trusted advisor to align the interests of both the industry and Microsoft.

 Strategic and Business influencer

  • The ability to think and execute strategically, supporting the subsidiary leadership team in growing the business. Creates a positive environment for the business.
  • A demonstrated expertise in building and leveraging sustained relationships with:
    • Ministerial level of government and their technical advisors
    • Leading academics and think tanks on relevant technical, social and policy topics
    • C-level and board room level executives in their Cloud & responsible AI journey
  • Supports the field to build internal/external capacity, including addressing customer concerns on privacy, security, sovereignty, sustainability, AI, and other areas.
  • Identifies and engages with relevant policy, advisory, industry, and standardization bodies on cutting edge technologies, business transformation, and/or people and cultural changes. Establishes and contributes to producing Microsoft’s thought leadership in these domains. Leads or contributes to responsible use of technologies.
  • Assesses implications of new legislations, regulations, and potential alignment with other impacted organizations. Contributes to future regulations and policy development by cultivating trusted advisor status with government, regulators, and regulated industries.
  • Contributes to medium- to long-term opportunities for Public Sector, all regulated industries, and/or other relevant industries. Assesses the impact of current and upcoming technologies at the customer, industry, and/or country level. Creates a positive environment and expands Microsoft’s market by addressing technologies, national sovereignty, security, privacy, or compliancy.

Technical Intensity

  • Partners with the country or Area Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and external leadership teams as a member in the subsidiary or regional team. Discusses the technology landscape of the country or region as a technical thought leader. Advises and influences the SLT on industry and technology trends.
  • Acts as a spokesperson for Microsoft to build and maintain public relations. Gives speeches or addresses media coverage on technologies or security and privacy domains and their impact.
  • Promotes the demand for skills on new or upcoming technologies to ensure internal readiness, customer/partner skilling, and/or government elites. Identifies and leads advanced learning themes on identified thought leadership topics before programmatic internal material is available.
  • Identifies, engages, and builds networks with academic/research communities and/or higher education institutes to collaborate on market research, content of programs, and curriculum, and stay current on novel technologies. May drive the engagement with Microsoft Research community.
  • Acts as the internal and external security/privacy thought leader in the subsidiary. Guides security messaging direction for external outreach. Supports internal and external readiness on risk management, cybersecurity, privacy, and compliancy.
  • Upskills themselves and/or contributes to training on new or upcoming technologies to provide internal readiness, customer/partner skilling, and/or government elites. Identifies and initiates advanced learning themes on identified thought leadership topics before programmatic internal material is available.

 

Qualifications

Expected Skills

IT Engineering Skills: Expertise on computer systems, software engineering, cloud computing architectures, troubleshooting technical issues, emerging technologies (e.g., AI, Confidential Computing, …) and security to assess technologies use and impact.

 

AI and Data Science: Familiarity with AI research and the ability to define, scope, screen and assess trends related to AI.

 

Software Engineering Skills: Writing, debugging, maintaining, and testing software, converting tasks into programming languages like Python, to develop small prototypes, assess emerging technologies or showcase use cases to customers.

 

Security and Compliance: Understanding the importance of security in technology and compliance across a diverse set of industries and being able to communicate this effectively to various stakeholders.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or other related field AND 6 to 10 years experience working across multiple disciplines/domains (e.g., technology management, consulting, policy and regulations, legal/privacy, security, or a related field)
    • OR equivalent experience.

 Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree in a related field.
