High Level Teaching Assistant Position AvailableAre you an experienced and dedicated teaching assistant looking to take the next step in your career? Teaching Personnel is pleased to offer an opportunity for a High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Wilmslow. This full-time position starts ASAP and continues until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent based on performance.Role Overview:As a High Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Teaching and Learning: Assisting teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons, providing high-quality support to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Classroom Management: Leading small group sessions and covering classes as needed, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Individual Support: Providing tailored support to individual students, particularly those with special educational needs or those who require additional help to achieve their potential.
  • Curriculum Development: Contributing to the development of curriculum materials and resources, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assisting in the monitoring and assessment of student progress, providing constructive feedback and working with teachers to plan interventions.
  • Parental Engagement: Communicating effectively with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and support plans.
  • Professional Development: Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant, preferably at a higher level.
  • Strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum and educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to supporting student learning and development.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or a related field.
