Our Childcare department is passionate about nurturing future professionals who will make a positive impact in the field of early childhood education.Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic College Lecturer to teach our Introduction to Childcare/Level 1 course in Barnet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a passion for inspiring and guiding students in their learning journey.Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and informative lessons in the Introduction to Childcare/Level 1 curriculum.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, practical activities, and examinations.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their educational goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and learning.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in early childhood education to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Childcare department.

Requirements:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) and a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or related field.
  • Experience teaching Childcare courses at the college level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
