to the jobASML Customer Support (CS) is the face of ASML towards our customers. The CS organization consists of approximately ten thousand employees worldwide and is responsible for the full support of ASML’s customer activities in the field; such as installations, upgrades and relocations of tools as well as maintenance of them.As the CS Business Planning department, we are the worldwide CS business partner for tactical and strategical headcount planning & decisions. We prepare and deliver resource requirement overviews, analyses and insights to support strategic decision making and operational review of business performance. The CS Business Planning department maintains the one source of truth for CS headcount budgets, and is the competence center for headcount planning methodologies.Role and responsibilitiesEnsures Data Management and structures are in place to support and further improve Business Planning processes; provides data and supports in reporting to key stakeholders.Maintains and drives improvements in data structures, data maintenance and control. Drives standardization and automation of data flows.Secures operational availability of data and applications, acts as 1st line/2nd line support to business planners for the tooling within his/her responsibility -enabling continuity of critical business processes.Solves business questions through creation of data solutions, dashboards and data visualizations that enable leaders to make critical decisions. Links insights to actionable recommendations.Drives insight generation through comprehensive data analysis, enabling informed decision-making and strategic improvements.Develops, improves, and runs planning models to forecast, optimize, analyze headcount scenarios to support decision making with respect to different use-cases.Personal skillsAnalytical skills with high attention to quality, consistency and accuracyHigh motivation and drive to achieve resultsAble to manage complexity, uncertaintyPro-active personality, taking initiativeExcellent communication skillsHas the drive for operational excellence / continuous improvementEducation and experienceMSc in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Information Management, Statistics or similar.Experience5+ years of relevant work experience as Data/Business Analyst, preferably in Planning domain.Good understanding of planning processes, Installed base management and service businesses.Expert in programming with Python.Expert in data analysis, reporting, performance measurement (developer in Spotfire, Power BI)Working with databases, setting up data structures.Context of the positionThe CS Business Planning department is key in delivering resource requirements and overviews to support monthly and annual budget processes. The department leads worldwide workforce planning and financial planning through maintaining and utilizing blueprints and norms within the headcount models it develops, and considering the dynamics within the demand and capability plans. The team guides its stakeholders with insights on impact of installed base growth, service contracts and UIR capabilities on the required workforce. In addition, insights are generated to improve performance on several metrics including costs and efficiency.The Data Analyst will work closely with Business Planners that focus on combinations of Business Lines and customer support activities. The collaboration will take place within the regular planning processes as well as through continuous improvement initiatives/projects. The analyst will also collaborate with other analysts and data scientists within and outside CS to develop sustainable, aligned, end to end solutions to common challenges within the organization.The Data Analyst will report to the Manager Data Management and Business Applications within CS Business Planning in Veldhoven.This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
