Projectleader Digital Literacy en AI in MaastrichtDo you have knowledge of and experience with digital tools and skills (for AI, among others), and do you think it is important that they are used appropriately in academic education? Are you interested in developing a vision aimed at strengthening digital literacy for teachers and do you like to translate this vision into usable advice and workshops? Then read on quickly because this vacancy is probably something for you!Job descriptionThe core business of the University Library (UB) is making scientific information findable, accessible and available, and training students in searching and assessing (digital) scientific information. Partly due to the rise of AI (including Large Language Models such as ChatGPT), digital skills for finding the right information, critically assessing it and communicating with it are becoming increasingly important for students, teachers and researchers. In this position, you will develop a vision of digital literacy for teachers together with your teammates and in coordination with faculties and the Centre for Teaching & Learning (CTL) in alignment with the vision already developed for students. You will join a team of colleagues with expertise in information and digital literacy and, based on your vision of digital literacy, coordinate with them on the further development of our digital labs and multimedia facilities (makerspace, video and podcast studio and VR/XR facilities). To best translate the vision on digital literacy for teachers into training for the teacher professionalisation programme, you will have regular consultations with colleagues from faculties and the CTL who are responsible for it.You will be engaged in:

• developing a vision on the wishes and requirements in digital literacy for teachers in line with the already developed vision on digital literacy for students;
• translating the above vision into an educational programme to be developed in digital literacy for teachers;
• developing (online) teaching materials for an education programme in consultation with UB colleagues, CTL and faculty stakeholders;
• conducting workshops on digital literacy in the education programme to be developed;
• retrieving the needs and wants of our users and matching them to feasibility in our offer.

RequirementsWe are looking for you if you want to contribute to services for our students, teachers and researchers. You establish contacts easily, are sensitive to the environment and committed to the needs of our customers. You can work well together and are communicatively strong, influencing and coordinating conversations with different interlocutors effortlessly. You are good at planning and organising and you are result-oriented. You are good at putting your vision into practice and are able to stimulate and motivate a group.Furthermore, you have:

• a completed master’s degree preferably in the field of education and technology, digital society, digital learning or similar;
• you have very good digital skills and experience in using digital tools in an educational environment;
• experience in developing and delivering workshops/trainings on digital technology, tools and related skills;
• experience as a project leader is an advantage;
• a very good command of Dutch and English (level C1).

What we offerAs Projectleader Digital Literacy en AI at Universiteits Bibliotheek, you will be employed by the most international university in the Netherlands, located in the beautiful city of Maastricht. In addition, we offer you:

• Good employment conditions. The position is graded in scale 10 according to UFO profile Project Leader, with corresponding salary based on experience ranging from €3226,00 and €5090,00 gross per month (based on a full-time employment of 38 hours per week). In addition to the monthly salary, an 8.0% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus apply.
• An employment contract for a period of 12 months with a scope of 0,8 – 1,0 FTE. Upon proven suitability, the employment contract will be converted to an indefinite contract.
• At Maastricht University, the well-being of our employees is of utmost importance, we offer flexible working hours and the possibility to work partly from home if the nature of your position allows it. You will receive a monthly commuting and internet allowance for this. If you work full-time, you will be entitled to 29 vacation days and 4 additional public holidays per year, namely carnival Monday, carnival Tuesday, Good Friday, and Liberation Day. If you choose to accumulate compensation hours, an additional 12 days will be added. Furthermore, you can personalize your employment conditions through a collective labor agreement (CAO) choice model.
